In celebration of International Women’s Day next week, we decided to shine the spotlight on Anna Mottram, who joined the RJS Team as a solicitor in August 2022.
From Starbucks to Solicitor.
On leaving school, which Anna did not particularly enjoy, she started working at her local leisure Centre, where she trained as a lifeguard and swimming teacher.
At one time, she was interested in going to drama school. However, she changed her mind about pursuing this as a career following a conversation she had with her uncle, who is a lawyer.
Initially, she studied part-time law before moving to a full-time law degree. She graduated with a First, but whilst considering what she might like to do next, she worked for Starbucks.
During this time, a Paralegal position became available in Nantwich, which Anna started part-time while also undertaking a Legal Practice Course. She graduated in 2019 with a masters.
Anna qualified as a Solicitor in 2021 following her training contract in Nantwich. Anna then decided she wanted a new challenge which led to her applying for the position with RJS.
Anna’s bucket list would be to have dinner with Alan Rickman, to have seen David Bowie in concert, see the Northern Lights and speak Swedish.
Anna enjoys walking her dog before work and drinking good cups of coffee.
A little-known fact about Anna is that she loves art and has produced some fantastic artwork – She really is a very talented lady.
