About Our Teams
RJS’ Corporate Team has a wealth of experience advising buyers, sellers, investors and funders on how to negotiate, structure, implement and complete business acquisitions and disposals. Whatever the industry and no matter the transaction, we provide clear and practical advice, always ensuring that our clients’ commercial objectives are met.
We also handle a range of commercial contracts for clients located in the UK and overseas, including the review and preparation of a wide range of trading agreements.
RJS’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team has a wealth of experience advising and representing clients from various market sectors in litigious matters, providing clear, pragmatic advice about our clients’ rights, liabilities and/or remedies.
We advise and represent clients in the course of wide-ranging business focused disputes, including: the sale and supply of goods and services; breaches of franchise, agency, consultancy, and directors’ service agreements, and; shareholder disputes.
RJS’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team also has experience dealing with a range of property disputes, including boundary and leasehold disputes. We have represented both tenants and landlords, land owners and management companies, whether pursuing or defending a claim.
Our approach focuses on our clients’ commercial objectives, whilst minimising the level of disruption to their business and prioritising the protection of their property.
RJS’ Private Clients Team primarily specialises in drafting Wills and Lasting Powers Attorney, later life and care fee planning, probate and estate administration, advising on and creating lifetime trusts for asset protection, and drafting pension letters of wishes. We also assist with writing life policies into trust for estate and tax planning purposes and advising on potential claims against an estate and how these might be prepared for.
RJS have strong relationships with accountants, financial advisers, medical practitioners and various other professionals with whom we are able to cross-refer work and collaborate on client matters, business development projects and other events.
RJS’ Commercial Property Team has extensive experience handling a wide range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing/re-financing developments and leases.
We have experience acting for buyers, sellers, investors, developers and financiers, and have recently been appointed as a recommended legal advisor in the West Midlands to Together Finance.
