RJS has advised the shareholders of Extronics Ltd on the successful sale of the company to BARTEC, a leading global provider of hazardous area safety and security solutions. The transaction brings together two highly complementary businesses and positions BARTEC as the world’s leading provider of digital infrastructure and equipment for hazardous and explosion-prone environments.

Extronics, a British specialist in Wireless IIoT and Real-Time Location Systems, is internationally recognised for designing and manufacturing intrinsically safe and explosion-proof equipment for use in harsh industrial environments. The acquisition strengthens BARTEC’s digital and connectivity offering, creating one of the most comprehensive hazardous area technology portfolios in the global market.
